Rs. 5 Lakh MPLAD Grant to Club Embers for C Hall

Tezpur, 5th Jan 2024 : In January 2024, the then Member of Parliament of Tezpur Lok Sabha Constituency, Shri Pallab Lochan Das, visited Club Embers at Lower Mahabhairab under Ward No. 7 and extended financial assistance of Rs. 5 lakhs from the MPLAD Fund 2022-23 for the construction of a community hall near the Lower Mahabhairab Durga Mandir.

The programme was attended by Tezpur Municipal Board Vice Chairperson Smt. Sangeeta Ghosh, Ward No. 7 Commissioner Sri Ramen Tamuli, Club Embers President Pradip Bhuyan, Secretary Supal Saha, Booth President Ajit Ghosh, along with senior and junior members of the club.

During the interaction, Club President Pradip Bhuyan highlighted the recurring flood situation faced by the locality during the monsoon season due to the condition of the Master Hola Drain and requested immediate intervention. In response, the then MP assured that the matter would be looked into and necessary cleaning and development measures would be considered.
